The days of the week

We released Biscuit from his chains. He's so happy now. He turns out to be a very very good dog. The first thing he did when he got unchained, was running to the fence and making a dump there, finally on an own chosen spot. Then Baxter and he started roaming around together, walking so close to each other as if they are one dog with 8 paws and two tails. And they have done this ever since. They're breaking into the garden of the neighbour, barking to all people passing by, playing with each other, with coconut shells, socks, corn, foodbowls and balls.

It has been very shitty weather these last days, which is kind of a pity, because now we can't really enjoy the nice weather for the last times. But maybe that prepares us better for the colder weather in the Netherlands.

We went to beachcombers on Sunday. Then Baxter found a hole in the same fence we were busy closing the hole day before. After 5 tries of trying to lock Baxter anyway, we decided to give up. Biscuit doesn't escape trough it though.
At beachcombers there was a man who started talking to us, but trying to bent the conversation into drugs too obviously. First he started about Amsterdam, which isn't so weird. But then he was asking us for: 'Where do people from the Netherlands make money from? Is it cheese?', which isn't a frequently said remark. When we didn't really got into a relaxed conversation, he went away. Then , down at the beach we got quite shocked. There was this quite fat lady, and it looked as if she was wearing a 'string bikini and a way too little top. But I just couldn't believe it and I was convincing myself it was a brown bathing suit, but that I saw it wrong because I was wearing my sunglasses. But it turned out Anthony and more people on the beach saw it too. A lady said: 'O my, she makes every woman looks beautiful.'

From Monday on we've been cooking downhill in the little apartment, there was an old cooker still and we also still had the attachment for the gas bottle. We'd been walking towards the supermarket. On our way we saw a kid being almost knocked down, we saw some lunch for Anthony at KFC, we bumped into a crazy guy who we met before who called himself a singer. Then he started talking to us: 'Ahh there you are my friends, I've been searching for you all the time but I couldn't find you'. And when we walked by the airport, a huge aeroplane was just taking off right next to us.
At Wednesday we did a lot of childy waterballoon playing, badminton-thingy game and frisbeeing with a lid from a bucket.
We were curious how Biscuit would like the beach, so Thursday we put both the dogs on the leash and took them with us. Then Biscuit's first experience of being out of the fence was a weird guy started barking at him and pretending to throw something at him, and showing Anthony some drugs to sell. Biscuit turned out to dislike the water too, just like Baxter. So the whole trip wasn't much of a succes.
At Friday we went trying to get totally uphill on this hill. There were lots of rocks, stingy bushes and dead leafs moving by themselves. So we didn't get so far as Baxter and Biscuit got, but we anyway had a nice sight. Then we found a dead snake Baxter had been biting. Quite exciting.
On Saturday we'd been baking a lot a lot. Anthony made a really nice ciabatta which tasted so good. I made some soft buns, half of it with cinnamon-apple and the other half with cheese and onion.
At Sunday we were invited for lunch at Wayne, and had a really nice lunch.
On Monday, one week later we took an old shirt and some paint, painted the dogs paws and printed them on the shirt so we have a nice souvenir for back home. Afterwards we washed them and found Baxter had a lot of fleas. But now he feels a lot better, and for us a lot softer.
Then Tuesday came and we went to town for the last time. We got so annoyed by all those people there(we got cut in line twice...), and smelly streets, we got kind of excited about going back to the Netherlands. We did find a huge nice paw paw and a very nice mosquitoe-killer-racket. We had lots of fun with that. In the evening there was a huge spider on the wall. Anthony was pro killing and I was anti. Then we gave him a shine with the flashlight and then his eyes reflected. Then we realised how big it actually was. Then Ant took some pictures of it and we saw his big jaws. And then a big moth flew by and the spider ran to it and actually caught it and bit it to dead. And that was when we decided we had to kill it. We tried a tiny broom, a big broom, a plastic packaging from curtainrails, waterpistol, badminton shuttle, matchboxes, the mosquitoe-killer-racket and after one and a half hour we made this weapon with a wet rag in a plastic bag and then Anthony swung it against the spider, and it fell off of the roof and it was dead. After all this we watched Big Daddy to calm down.
Wednesday we packed our bags, and relaxed a whole lot with the dogs again.

It was nice to be here, and we saw a lot of surprising things and it was quite enjoyable too.
Since it's Friday it's only two more days here of warm climate, messy people, dirty streets, swimming, lack of traffic lights and traffic rules,weird red sea-eggs, freaky insects, annoying insects, roti and two very special very sweet dogs. So all that's left to do for us is enjoying the last and preparing for our flight home. See ya!
