In the month february 2011, on a rather normal Saturday evening, Ron and I decided to make a cycling trip. Where to, what to do and how to?
So we counselled http://www.fietsersbond.nl/op-fiets/fietsroute-planner, and decided to choose a place not further than a 4 to 5 hours drive. Utrecht was to close, Ede was to far away and Ron already did Amsterdam. So we decided to go for Almere. According to the internetsite, the trip would last 4 hours and 15 minutes. Fine. We wanted to stay overnight there as well, cause doing a retour in one day seemed a little too enthusiastic and a little too less enjoyable. And therefore we booked the cheapest hotel we could find on the internet. The nice Apollo Hotel, in the very centre of Almere. Ron would be responsible for the route, and I was responsible for the hosting. And so the preparation was done.
Some interesting ‘facts’:
Total length of the route:74,1 km., Durance of trip: 4 hours and 17 minutes
Saves 11122 co2 ( I’m not talking of methan here;) )
Uses 1416 kCal.
So our trip went trough the following places:
Zoetermeer-Benthuizen-Hazerswoude-Alphen aan den Rijn-Ter Aar-Amstelhoek-Nessersluis-Nes aan de Amstel-Abcoude-Weesp-Muiderberg-Almere Poort-Almere
