Today was the best day. We went to Mugla, the village where St. Nicolas really really really comes from. There was a pretty ancient theatre, very sweet puppies and nice weather. And so, the guide told us, St. Nicolas and Santa clause really the same persons. Then we went on to the boat, which brought us on a boat trip. The guide told us we might have a chance to see dolphins, and we did! Great!. The weather was great too. We sailed along a sunken city, a city from the ancient Rome, built on a hill, but the water had been risen ever since. So parts of the city are partly under water now. And trough the bottom of glass you could even see some pots. Then we had a swimming break, and Rémar was the only one who was actually swimming. He shocked all the poor, old people by jumping off of the boat. But he did it very well, and so we arrived back safely. After lunch we went to the prettiest village where off I forget the name. It was very self-sufficient. We got a typical Turkish pancake, filled with a kind of spinach, herbs and Turkish cheese accompanied by a glass of apple tea.
The guide did a little speech and he and the guide got tips. And then he ended his speech, by accident with the sentence: ‘I wish you some very nice days for the rest of your stay with a whole lot of rain’.
In the evening, Rémar and I decided to walk to Finike again. At the beach we bumped into Drop again, the dog where I told you about. She walked with us all the way to Finike. In Finike she was still walking with us, and it was very nice to see all the locals were afraid of her, while she was following us the whole time, cuddling, wagging her tail and all that. At a certain point we sat on a square and another dog came. She was barking and chasing the other dog away. And at that point I became very very glad this dog was on our side. She was the real Alpha Bitch.
When we walked back, we had a great sight on a lightning storm. Such pretty electrical cracks in the air. Luckily it was quite far away. It was kind of a creepy night as we also passed a toilet, very dark, closed with a half broken door and very slippy. It was a toilet where you expected a very freaky murder had just been committed.
Trying to make the end of the day a little lighter, we decided to drunk an orange soda and a cappuccino in the hotel lounge. The opposite happened. Everywhere, drunk elder Dutch people who, as it turned out, could not manage the all inclusive alcohol.
