Early Wednesday mornings

During the transfer we passed a place with ugly hotels: all replica’s from for example the Gremlin, White House, Titanic and Amsterdam Central. But this wasn’t so bad anymore when we got to enjoy the sights of the pretty Turkish hills covered with goats or clouds.
We arrived round 4:00 p.m. Since Finike was the nearest town, but about an hour walk, we decided to eat at the hotel. It was an all-you-can-eat dinner, for only12,50. My eyes got really really big, especially by seeing the desserts. Turkish veggies can be really weird of taste. There’s this really weird, common taste-mixture of sour, spicy and juicy. Something like a pickle-olive-tomato. There was also the very taste Pide bread, and nice goat’s cheese. Let’s say we had a great opportunity to energise.
After dinner, we went out to the beach where we bumped into a tramp-dog. She got the name ‘Drop’ (VOETNOOT1). A very sweet dog, following us the whole time, giving paws and running after trucks. Later more..
When we came back into the hotel, Rémar thought me how to play chess.
'footnut': Drop comes from Raindrop, which refers to Rain, my most beloved cat who behaved exactly the same as this dog. But who unfortunately died. If reincarnation exists, then Rain has been rainincarnated in Drop.
